Wayfaring Stranger/Going Home Medley

Our desire to arrive at our heavenly home is wonderfully captured in this superb pairing of two great home-going songs, Wayfaring Stranger/Going Home Medley. The arrangement opens with a mournful lament of a wayfaring stranger who looks forward to seeing relatives and his Savior. The lament is followed with “Going Home” based on the melody from the Largo of Dvorak’s New World Symphony. The arrangement concludes with a final victorious declaration that “I’m going home!” The piano accompaniment for this arrangement is quite challenging.
